Abhinawagupta
Abhinavagupta, born ca. His writings cover about 50 hearings, commentaries and mystical-philosophical hymns. Traditionally, he was the embodiment of Sami.
The thought of Abhinavagupta has gone through three stages of development: tantric, aesthetic and philosophical. Philosophy and ritual, and above all the systematic lecture of mysticism and the thought of the tantric school of the sphere, took up in his greatest work, Tantraloce (Light of Tantra). The thoughts contained in Tantraloce were later condensed into a much smaller Tantrasara work. The aesthetic phase of Abhinawagupta's thought represents a number of commentaries on mysticism, theater and poetry. This is commented on by Loenan (Dhongjaloka) Dhwanjaloka (Light of Sound) and Abhinawabharati (Newest Commentary on Bharata) to Natángastra, Bharata's treatise on theater. The most important philosophical texts of Abhinavagupta are Isarapatjabhidhana and Isvarapratjabhidhaviwitiwimimini (The dissertation on the interpretation of the concept of Recognition of Isvara). The first text is a commentary on the lost work of Utpalacara Izvarapratjabhidhanavimarśini (Discourse on the Recognition of God), the second is a lecture on the theory of recognition (pratyabhidhana) of the transcendent in what is sensible to perceive.
