Double exchange reaction
Double-exchange reaction - a kind of exchange reaction in which two different chemicals take part, between which the components are exchanged. The double exchange reaction describes the general equation: AB + CD ⇌ AD + CB
In organic chemistry, this type of process is known as metathesis.
Examples of dual exchange: np. NaOH + HCl ⇌ NaCl + H2O np. AgNO3 + KCl ⇌ AgCl↓ + KNO3
Double-exchange reactions are reversible, although the balance can be strongly shifted to one side. In chemical technology, double conversion is a conversion process.
