Evans rate

Evans Ratio - An indicator of neuroimaging (computerized tomography or magnetic resonance imaging) for the diagnosis and monitoring of hydrocephalus.

The Evans index is determined by determining the ratio of the width of the frontal ventricular system to the largest skull width measured at the level of the interventricular opening of Monro or (according to other authors) to the twilight dimension.

An increase of over 0.3 (30%) indicates the presence of hydrocephalus.
