List of processor commands

List of instruction sets - a set of basic instructions that a given processor can perform.

Processor manufacturers typically provide details on each of the commands:

The list of commands is essential for programmers who use the processor directly, usually from assembler level, as well as developers of compilers, debuggers and other tools operating at the machine code level. Not all commands recognized by the processor, however, must be documented.

Some of the commands listed on the list do not necessarily correspond to the actual instructions made by the electronics. For example, it is not possible for Itanium processors to send content between registers, however, this operation can be accomplished by adding, and even the manufacturer recommends that assembler implement such a pseudo-code.
