Alexander Baths
Alexander Bade (born 25 August 1970 in Berlin) is a former German football goalkeeper.
Bade started his career at Tennis Club Borussia Berlin where he played as a junior. In 1988/89 he moved to FC Köln, where he was first teammate since 1991. However, playing as a substitute Bodo Illgner did not have many opportunities to play and for 4 years he ran out of the field only 5 times. He then went to KFC Uerdingen where he played more, but he was still only a substitute for a more experienced player, Bernd Dreher. In the 1998/99 season, Bade moved to Hamburger SV where he again played in the shadow of his better friend, Hans-Joerg Butt. He returned to Cologne in 2000, and this time he played much more often.
In January 2008 he moved to Borussia Dortmund, but his contract with the club was only valid until the end of June. After his expiry, on June 25, 2009 he became a goalkeeping coach at FC Köln.
