Dawid Nitschmann (1676-1758)
David Nitschmann Wagner, Dawid Nitschmann I (born 18 September 1676 in Suchodole, died in 1758 in Bethlehem) is a spiritual and missionary of the Moravian friars
He came from the Czech brothers who emigrated from the Kingdom of Bohemia to Saxony at the beginning of the 18th century and settled in Herrnhut. He was the son of Johannes Nitschmann and Catherine Friedrickin.
David Nitschmann Wagner was one of the founders of the Moravian Brothers church. Having formed this confession he participated in Christian missions in the Caribbean and in North America. He spent the last years of his life in the missionary community in Pennsylvania. His daughter Anna became the second wife of Nicholas von Zindendorf.
