Hieroglyphs - sedimentary structures that are found in small erosive forms (eg vortices), traces of organisms or load structures (bruises) preserved on the bottom (bottom) rock surface.

Hieroglyphs occur in all types of sedimentary rocks, but are most common in clastic rocks (conglomerates, sandstones, mudstones), including flysch.

Hieroglyphs are used to determine the original arrangement of crushed rock layers, as they are always formed on the primary surface of the shoals. Some types of hieroglyphs are useful for reconstructing the direction of current flow.

Hieroglyphs that are the foundations of animal bedding (organic hieroglyphs) are fossils. Bibliography
