Spiral (aviation)
Spiral - a basic pilot figure consisting of a helically-moving helicopter with a gradual decrease in altitude. The spiral is performed at a reduced thrust or power of the power train with fixed tilting, fixed speed and constant turndown angle.
Spiral is a figure of acrobatics, which is performed on subcritical angle of attack - in contrast to the corkscrew, where the planes break at supercritical attack angles.
