Albert Rachner


Albert Rachner (born 4 June 1836 in Oborniki, died 30 January 1900 in Wrocław) is a German sculptor, active in Wrocław.

He studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin and then at the Munich Academy. During his work in Wroclaw he made a series of cemetery sculptures, as well as a bust of the Holteia Wroclaw poet and a medallion on the statue of the architect Knorr (1878, unmatched), the bust of the Swedish botanist Karl Linna for the Botanical Garden and many wood carvings.
