Electro-industrial

Electro-industrial - a genre of music derived from the EBM and post-industrial trends.

Developed in the late 1980's and early 90's. Given that EBM is direct in structure and pure production, electro-industrial has become known for having a deep and complex sound. This can be heard on many discs of this genre, such as the Tactical Neural Implant from Front Line Assembly and Bunker Gate Seven of the project: wumpscut:.

After the EBM movement diminished in the early 1990s, electro-industrial growth has grown in popularity in international stage clubs. In contrast to the simple EBM style, electro-industrial bands used stronger bits and hoarse, distorted or coded vocals. Unlike industrial rock, electro-industrial groups use almost exclusively electronic instruments. This genre is not related to electro. representatives
