Jędrzej Augustyński
Jędrzej Augustyński, ps. "Jędrzej" (born 1917, died 1944) - soldier of AK, harper of Polish Hussars.
The son of Zygmunt Augustyński - Editor-in-chief of Gazeta Ludowa and Eugenia from. Bartenbach. He graduated from junior high school and high school. Stefan Batory in Warsaw (matura 1935). He was a scout and an instructor (among others, the quartermaster), a group of 23 Warsaw Scouts and Zuchów Squadrons "Pomarańczarnia". During the occupation he worked in the Polish Hufce. In the summer of 1943 he married Janina Zielewicz, a scout, a conspirator. In the Warsaw Uprising, he served as the lieutenant of the "Scouting" battalion of the "Gustaw" battalion, AK "Róg", in which his wife was a nurse. He and his wife were killed in Kilińskiego Street from the outbreak of the German engineering vehicle Borgward IV. Their names appear on the plate of the symbolic grave at the Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw (B-24). Next to Jan Augustyn's uncle is on the list of losses of Polish culture. Bibliography
