Kazimierz Sterkowicz
Kazimierz Sterkowicz (born January 4, 1948 in Zagórzany) - Polish local government, engineer, from May to May 2010 Gorlice mayor. Curriculum vitae
He graduated in 1972 from the Technical School of Engineering in Rzeszow. During the Polish People's Republic, he was an active member of the Polish United Workers' Party, as deputy head of the economic department and First Secretary of the Municipal Committee in Gorlice. He also worked in the Machine Factory "Glinik", beginning as a hard worker, as head of the department, and also as deputy director of the "Glin-Kar" company in Karaganda.
In 2002 he was elected the mayor of Gorlice. In the local elections in 2006, he successfully applied for re-election, winning in the second round. In 2010 he did not apply for re-election, he obtained the mandate of city council.
He belongs to the Democratic Left Alliance. It works in the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Polish Mechanics.
