Academic Health Service - organization of medical assistance for students. Health Care Teams existed and existed (2008) in most of the academic centers in Poland. History
Before World War II, there existed the organization of the Student Health Fund. For example, in the years 1930-1936, Dr. Zygmunt Kuligowski, a doctor of neurological diseases, was working as a student in his apartment at Wiejska Street 2. In pre-war Poland there were also students of Bratnia Pomocy.
One of the precursors of the Academic Health Service in Poland was the organization of the Medical Student Medical Assistance, or PLMA, often called the PaLMA. In Lodz, this organization was dissolved in 1951. In that place, the Preventive and Prophylactic Therapy Team was established. In 1971, the Health Care Team for Higher Education was created. At the end of the 1990s, health care centers in Poland are being made available to patients from outside the university.
In Warsaw, one of the most famous institutions is the specialist clinic at Mochnackie 10. There is a Student Medical Committee in Mochnacki's outpatient clinic. Dean's leave.
