Jan Cichocki


Jan Cichocki - in the years 1942-1943 a soldier of the Peasant Battalions, then the Home Army. He participated in the battles with the Germans in Zamość and in the "Storm" action, during which he was wounded. Team leader at Gaj Gruszczanski station in the Zamość region. He was co-initiator of the merger of two AK organizations into the World Union of Home Army Soldiers. Since 2006, President of the Białystok Region Board of

July 30, 2007 President Lech Kaczyński decorated Jan Cichocki with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta during the 63rd anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising.
