Marian Cieślak

Marian Cieślak (born October 18, 1921 in Mogilno, died February 6, 2010) is a Polish lawyer, professor of legal studies, author of several publications on criminal law and law.

He was a Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University, where he headed the Department of Criminal Procedure for many years. Since 1974 he has been associated with the University of Gdansk. He was the head of the Polish Section of the AIDP. From 1980-1981 and 1987-1992 he was a member of the Committee for the Development of Criminal Penalties.
