Sitka National Historical Park

Sitka National Historical Park is a protected area located in Sitka, Alaska.
William Howard Taft created the national monument on March 23, 1910, named Sitka National Monument. Many years later, on October 18, 1972, the area of protected areas was expanded and a historic national park was built under the current name.
The park covers an area of approximately 0.45 km². There are several Indian totems in the area, as well as historic buildings from the time when Alaska belonged to Russia. There are more than 150,000 exhibits in this collection.
In 2006 the park was visited by 331,393 tourists.
