Synagogue in the Sanctuary

Synagogue in Osoblach (synagogue v Osoblaze) - non-existent synagogue located in Osoblach, Czech Republic, on Hrnčířská street.

The first synagogue was built after 1569 and burned before 1626. Its second building was burnt down in 1802.

The third synagogue on the same site was built between 1807 and 1808. In 1833 the fire destroyed it, but in the same year it was renovated. In the second half of the 19th century, the population of the municipality began to decline and the synagogue was destroyed. In 1933 it was demolished due to poor technical condition. Today in her garden there are allotments. The Jewish cemetery with Polish-style gravestones is unique in the Czech Republic. Bibliography
