It comes from the Albanian family, who in 1990 emigrated from Kosovo to the Swedish city of Laholm. The first beauty contest, which was attended by Miss Scandinavia 2006, participated in the Miss Shqiperia 2006 competition.

On 28 December 2007 she won the title of Miss Kosova in Pristina. In January 2008 she represented Kosovo at the Top Model of the World 2008 competition held in Egypt. She was the first representative of Kosovo at Miss World 2008 and Miss Universe 2008.
