The life of 25-year-old beautiful and shapely Emily looked like a fairy-tale: she had a handsome and wealthy fiancé who showered her with expensive gifts and endowed great affection, lived in a beautiful home and did not have to worry about money. Spit when one day the anti-terrorists arrived home, and the fiancé turned out to be a dangerous gangster with the nickname Kałach. Emilia lived with her friend, Ludwik (called Lula), a 35-year-old lonely custodian of the museum (educated art historian). Together they leave to take a rest in the Marysin Rotunda (a fictional village situated by the author of the novel between Karpacz and Kowary). There are old friends of Lula - Wiktor with his wife Ewa and daughter Jagodę and Janek alone raising the son of Kajtek.

The mansion is owned by an older lady, called simply Grandmother, widow after the captain. Grandma is afraid that without her husband will not be able to manage the mansion and horses. Emilia thinks that they could open a joint farm together. It soon turns out that the idea is not the worst and there are possibilities for its implementation. Friends go out to promote their business and come to the foremen come first guests. Over time, the business starts to bring benefits. One of the guests is also the former owner of Marysina, a German. Initial concerns about the German intentions are unfounded.

One of the threads of the novel is the emotional complexity of the characters. Lula is in love with Victor, Lula loves Janek in turn. Grandma and a new German friend come up with the idea of ​​how to solve this problem - just make Lula fall in love with Janko. So they come to action. Emilia meets Rafal, who deals with the hippotherapy of children with cerebral palsy. The girl is fascinated by him. In the meantime, he comes out with a bail of gangster kasha and does not give Emilia peace of mind. Bibliography
