Friedrich Tietjen
Friedrich Tietjen (born October 15, 1832 in Garnholt (now Westerstede), died June 21, 1895 in Berlin) is a German astronomer.
He worked as a professor of astronomy at the University of Berlin. From 1874 until his death he was managed by the Astronomischen Rechen-Institut (ARI) in Heidelberg (now the Heidelberg Center for Astronomy).
In 1866 he discovered the asteroid (86) Semele.
In recognition of his work, one of the asteroids was named (2158) Tietjen. Authoritative control (person):
