Hymet
Hymet, also Imitos and Hymēttós (Greek: Υμηττός, trm. Ymīttós, trit. Imitos) is a mountain range in Attica, south-east of Athens, between the Pentelejkon and Saronic Gulf. Hymet was famous for its fine honeys and marbles.
Currently, after several fires, the forests have survived only on the north and northwest sides, and the entire mountain is subject to special legal protection. Its long, flat top is currently covered by forest broadcasting antennas, it carries an asphalt road, but all circular communication is allowed only from sunrise to sunset and the highway is blocked by the police at night.
