Jerzy Barzowski


Jerzy Barzowski (born August 10, 1951 in Pomerania Wielki) is a Polish politician, self-governmental politician and member of Parliament for the third term of office. Curriculum vitae

In 1981 he graduated from high school in Bytów.

At the end of the 1960s he worked at the Gdańsk Shipyard. Lenin, then to 1974 in the company "Instal" in Gdańsk. From 1974 to 1990 he was employed at the "Elmor" Ship Electrical Equipment and Automation Plant in Bytów. In 1980 he joined "Solidarity", presided over the union's founding committee. After December 13, 1981, he was acting in the underground in the Słupsk province. In the 90s he was a member of the regional authorities of the union.

In the years 1994-1998 and 2002-2006 he served as deputy mayor of Bytów, from 1998 to 2002 he held the mayor's office. He was also a Member of the III term elected by the Solidarity Electoral Action, and in 2001 he was unsuccessful in seeking re-election. He belonged to the Social Movement, in 2004 he joined the Center Party (deregistered in 2008).

In the 2006 local elections, he was unsuccessfully candidate for the Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Law and Justice. At the same time, the local "Local Self-Government" group in the municipal and county elections blocked its lists with the Civic Platform. In 2007 he became head of the Center for Social Integration in Bytów. In the same year he became the councilor of the local council, dismissed by Peter Stanke, who was elected deputy. He also held it in 2010 and in 2014. As a member of PiS he ran from the list of this party in 2011 and 2015 to the Sejm and in 2014 to the European Parliament. Bibliography
