The Youth Brass Orchestra from Koprzywnica was founded in 1988. The orchestra is composed of the Copernicus students learning and studying. The beginnings of the orchestra were extremely difficult, the music equipment was incomplete and in very poor condition. Today's orchestra continues the musical traditions of the city's cathedral. The first abbot of the monastery was established in the 17th century.
