Zygmunt Szpaderski
Zygmunt Szpaderski (born 1914, March 9, 2008) is a Polish violinist, producer of percussion instruments.
In the interwar period he worked as an electrical engineer at PZL in Warsaw, and during his spare time he played violin, among other things, at weddings. From 1945, he lived in Lodz. Together with a colleague he performed in the now no longer existing restaurant at the intersection of Andrzej Struga and Tadeusz Kościuszko streets. He soon helped his fellow drummer and drummer himself, prompting him to construct his own percussion, which he performed several months later, and then sold it. He founded his own factory on 86 Piotrkowska Street in Łódź. In the mid-1960s, with the outbreak of bigstar fashion, Szpaderski's percussion sets gained huge popularity and reputation in the country (in this period he even composed two percussion sets per day). During his career he performed several thousand drums. He was also a well-known producer of drumsticks and orchestral boilers.
Szpaderski drummers included Jerzy Skrzypczyk from Red Guitars, Marian Lichtman from Trubadur, Tomasz Zeliszewski from Budka Suflera, Piotr Szkudelski from Perfect, Jacek Frąś from Cool Kids of Death, Michał Kochmański from RSC, or Zenon Sybilski of the Trophy team.
