62 Cycling Company

Company of riders number 62 - Infantry Division of the Polish Army.

The rider number 62 was not involved in a peacekeeping organization. It was formed in the 1st general mobilization rollout of August 30, 1939. The subdivision was organized in the Kołomyja garrison by the 49th Hulul Rifle Regiment. The commander of the company was Lieutenant Roman Mazurek. The division was an organic unit of the 11th Carpathian Infantry Division.

In September 1939 the company was directed to the concentration area. As a result of bombing around Jaroslaw (4-5 September), the area was not reached. It was included in the group "Zhovkiev" and together with her took part in the fight in defense of Lviv. On the night of September 14th, 1939, the Mazurkas were severely wounded at the German positions at Zboisky. Bibliography
