Baganda


Gandhi (Baganda, Ganda, Waganda) - an ethnic group in central Uganda, in 1983 its population reached 3 million. In the 15th century, the Gandys formed the pre-colonial kingdom of Buganda, which existed formally until the independence of Uganda when it was liquidated (in 1993 it was re-established as one of the traditional kingdoms of Uganda). Gandy's past was the basis of the dairy farming of millet and sorghum, and the cultivation of cotton and coffee.
