Jacques Claude Beugnot
Jacques Claude Beugnot (born July 25, 1761, June 24, 1835), Earl of Beugnot, French ancien régime, French Revolution, Consul and First Empire.
After the outbreak of the Revolution, he joined the feuillant club. He joined the club in 1791 and was elected to the National Convention. After the 9 th thermidor assassination, which resulted in the abolition of the power of the Grondist, de Beugnot was arrested.
After the 18th brumair attempt by Napoleon Bonaparte de Baugnot he returned to active politics. He was appointed prefect of the department of Seine-Maritime, then a member of the Council of State and Minister of Finance in the government of King Westphalia, Brother Napoleon, Jerome Bonaparte.
