Jan Zaleski (chemist)


Jan Zaleski (born March 8, 1869 in Augustów Calvary, died August 22, 1932 in Warsaw) is a Polish biochemist and lecturer at the University of Warsaw.

Professor of chemistry at the University of Petrograd in 1917, professor of the university in 1917-1918. In 1921 he became a correspondent of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Since 1922 he was a professor of pharmaceutical and toxicology at the University of Warsaw. At the same time, since 1928, he assumed the position of professor of analytical chemistry. In 1924 he developed a new method for receiving hemin. Bibliography
