Albin Fechner
He was educated under the direction of Adam Didura; In 1938 he graduated with distinction from Wielkopolska Music School in Poznań. In the interwar period he worked in the Poznan Bank of the Association of Commercial Companies, in the years 1936-1938 he served military service. He was a soloist of the Teatr Wielki in Poznań; It was in this capacity even before World War II, then in the post-war years (1945-1949) and again from 1957. In 1949-1957 he was a soloist of the Warsaw Opera (for some time he also worked in the administration of Gdańsk and Cracow). He performed many leading baritone parts, including the title roles in Verdi's Rigoletto and Tchaikovsky's Maze, Jago in Otell Verdi, Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca, Count Tomski in Tchaikovsky's Peak, Lord Henry Ashton in Lucia's Lammermoor Donizetti. Jubilee 40th Anniversary of Artistic Work (November 17, 1978) Fechner celebrated in Poznan a party of Miecznik in Moniuszko's Haunted Manor.
He performed on stage in Poland and abroad, among others. in the USSR, the GDR, Yugoslavia, Romania, Belgium, Italy. He was associated as a teacher with the Academy of Music in Poznań (since 1961), where he was a Dean of the Vocal Faculty. The Association of Polish Theater and Film Artists - Union of Polish Artist Artists awarded him the title of Honorary Member (1979).
He was married to Aniela from Majorek's house (born 1917), also a singer (mezzo soprano). Bibliography
