Hendrik Willem hull


Hendrik Willem Rumpf (1671-1743), a Dutch diplomat. His father was Christiaan Constantijn Rumpf (1636-1706), a diplomat and resident in Sweden. From 1700 Hendrik was one of his co-workers there. In 1702 Hendrik was on a mission in England, and in 1704 he became an adjunct resident in Sweden, until his father's death in 1706, when he became the only resident.

As a Dutch resident in Stockholm he reported in 1704 about the contraband of Swedish goods to the enemy of the Netherlands, Kingdom of France. From 1723 the extraordinary Dutchman in Sweden. His wife was Maria Dorothea Hildebrandt. Bibliography
