Status quo (psychology)
Status quo - in psychology and other social sciences: the state of affairs.
Most people tend to keep the status quo. Fear of change and unfamiliarity, and attachment to the current situation and lifestyle lead to surprising life decisions, such as the wife who lives with the alcoholic husband and tyrant, the unemployed who lives on the border of vegetation but does not want to take any work. >
The tendency to retain the status quo may also be to discard any unknown solutions, ideas or other innovations.
