Bernard of Albi


Bernard d'Albi (died 23 November 1350 in Avignon) - French Cardinal. Curriculum vitae

He came from Saverdun in southern France. In the years 1336-38 he was the bishop of Rodez. In 1337 he stayed in Spain as a papal nuncio. On the 18th of December 1338, Pope Benedict XII appointed him Cardinal Ciriaco alle Terme to the consecration. He participated in the conclave of 1342. In July 1343 he mediated in the conflict between the kings of Aragon and Majorca. In 1347 he presided as a papal legate of the Aragonese bishops in Barcelona.
