.DS_Store (Desktop Services Store) - A hidden file created by Apple Inc.'s OS X operating system. to save folder properties such as icon placement or folder window background selection. By default, Mac OS X creates .DS_Store files in every folder that it has access to, even in folders on remote systems (for example, SMB or AFP shared folders), and even if you only changed the Finder window to that folder.
Apple posted on the support page how to disable the creation of .DS_Store files on network drives. However, you can not disable these files on local drives, including flash.
