Edmund Homa


Edmund Homa (born 14 September 1927 in Chojnice, 1 April 2017) is a Polish architect, designer of industrial design and interior design, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

Curriculum vitae

Studied at the Department of Interior Architecture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (current name: Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk), diploma in 1955 in the studio of prof. Wlodzimierz Padlewski. Awarded artistic scholarship of the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1968 Member of the Artistic Board at the ZPAP Gdańsk District Board in 1978-1982. Expert of the Ministry of Culture and Art for the evaluation of plastic projects in PP. Studios of Fine Arts in Gdańsk 1960-1968. Researcher of the PWSSP in Gdańsk, since 1994 full professor.

Head of Furniture Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design. Between 1974 and 1987, Vice Dean, and in 1988-1990 Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design. From 1990 to 1996, Vice Rector of Gdańsk University.
