Karolina Wysocka


Karolina Wysocka (born 1975) is a Polish visual artist.

Curriculum vitae He graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in GdaƄsk (2001) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, Netherlands (2001).

She received an annual scholarship from the Dutch Nuffic Foundation (1999), a semi-annual research grant from the Belgian Ministry of Culture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium (2002).

She is involved in drawing and painting, is an author of objects, installations and photography. In her work she is interested in the notion of art and the analysis of her media. Time-consuming works (2006) are a photographic cycle, but referring to the history of painting, in this case to the renaissance performances. The artist raises the question of time, the inevitability of change. He also draws attention to the possibility of sensual, not just intellectual reception of reality.
