Abraham Samuel Rettig - Polish theater and film actor of Jewish origin. In the years 1959-1969 the actor of the Jewish Theater in Warsaw.
Abraham Samuel Rettig, opera singer (bass-baritone), actor, cantor. He was born on March 2, 1919 in Yavoriv, Ukraine, and began his solo career with the Lviv Philharmonic. He later sang in opera theaters in Kharkiv, Kiev and Almaty.
Since 1959 he has lived in Warsaw and played at the Jewish Theater Ida KamiĆska, participated in the concert of the National Philharmonic, with which he has performed successfully in Western and Eastern Europe and in Israel.
In 1969, after the anti-Semitic war, following the events of March, he emigrated from Poland. He moved to West Berlin until his death as an orthodox master of the Fraenkelufer synagogue in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin. Abraham Samuel Rettig died on January 8, 1983 in West Berlin and was buried at the Jewish cemetery in Spandau. Career
