He studied in Wroclaw and Braniewo (from 1844). He was ordained priest on June 1, 1846 in Frombork. From 1851 he taught religion at the Olsztyn junior high school, remaining a catechist even after taking up the post of parish priest in nearby Gryzlin (1852). From 1854 he was pastor in Rams.
In 1861 he went to work in Konigsberg, where he served as dean of the Sambian; He also worked on student and military pastoral work, as part of the latter, working with Fr. Eduard Herrmann, future auxiliary bishop of Warmia. On February 24, 1866, Namsan was appointed general priest of the Prussian army, in June 1868, in the rank of apostolic vicar with the bishop's titular capital of Agathopolis. He received the episcopal bishop on October 11, 1868 in Frombork from the hands of the Bishop of Warmia, Philippe Krement. He resided in Berlin. Initially, he belonged to the opponents of the papal infallible dogma, but after his adoption by the Second Vatican Council, he took a conciliatory position; Against the Old Catholics, he was exposed to the Prussian government, who abolished military ministry. In June 1873 Namszanowski was transferred to a state of rest and settled in Oliwa. In 1896 he received the dignity of the canon of the Chapter of Warmia and moved to Frombork, where he supported the pastoral work of the Ordinary of Andreas Thiel. On October 25, 1897 he consecrated the church in podolsztyn Dywits.
In the memory of the people of Warmia, he enrolled as a kind-hearted Pole, preaching sermons in Polish, often in his pronunciation far removed from government policy. Bibliography
