Isaac Cronström


Isaac Cronström (1661-1751) - Swedish officer in Dutch service.

As the second son in the family, he chose a military career. Since 1692 he was an officer. In 1697 he became colonel and commander of the Dutch infantry regiment Nassau-Woudenberg. In 1703 he became an adjutant of the Nassau-Ouwerkerk regiment. In 1704 he received the command of the Dutch regiment "Brandenburg". In 1709 he was appointed brigadier general and military commander in Huy.

Since 1720, he has been named (Swedish) count (since his older brother, architect and diplomat Daniel Cronström (1655-1719).) From 1727 he was General of the Infantry Division of the Dutch Army.
