Mendocino Homeland is the third album in the history of The Lookouts. This is also the first EP in the group's discography. The album was released by Lookout! Records, the singer of Look Look, Lawrence Livermore. The album is a seven-inch vinyl record and was one of ten EPs that Lookout! Released in the summer of 1990 in one set. The album material was recorded at the end of 1989.

The title Mendocino Homeland ("Mendocino") is the lands of Mendocino County in northern California, where members of the band grew up.
