Repentance (Ian McEwan's novel)


Penance - a novel by the British writer Ian McEwan. It is considered one of his best works. In 2001 Penance was nominated for the award for best English-language novel. McEwan was previously awarded the Booker Prize for his previous book, Amsterdam. In addition, Time magazine declared Penance the best work of the year and placed it on the list of the 100 greatest novels in history.

Penance was nominated for several awards, some of which she won.

McEwan used several styling techniques, including metaphysics and psychological realism.

In 2007, a film adaptation was made under the same title.
