National Cancer Institute (NCI) is a division of the US National Institutes of Health. NCI is a federally funded research and development organization (FFRDCs). The current NCI director is John E. Niederhuber. NCI coordinates the National Cancer Program; NCI is located in Bethesda and Fort Detrick, Maryland. NCI also finances research conducted throughout the United States.
