Changaj


Changai or Changan Mountains (Хангайн нуруу, Changajn nuruu) is a mountain range in central Mongolia, west of Ulaanbaatar.

The length of the band is 700 km, the highest peak of Otgontenger uul at 3905 m. Average bandwidth: 2500 - 3000 m n.p.m. Built of paleozoic rocks. Partly covered with forests (taiga), where the main tree is larch. A significant proportion of the fertile steppes, therefore, is the breeding of cattle and sheep.
