Chemotaksonomia
Chemotaxomics (chemistry, chemical taxonomy) - a field of taxonomy that uses chemical data to improve the organism of living organisms. It provides more basic information compared to morphology and cytology. It has been developing since the 1960s and as a relatively young research method, has contributed to the introduction of significant changes to earlier systems that characterize the phylogenetic relationships of organisms on the basis of a simple morphological similarity. The most useful for taxonomy are research on the following chemical groups: primary and secondary metabolites and carriers of genetic information (nucleic acids and proteins). Bibliography
