Edward Martyn
Edward Martyn (born January 30, 1859, December 5, 1923) is an Irish social activist, playwright.
He was one of the co-founders of the Irish Literary Theater (associated with the Abbey Theater), along with William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory. He was the first president of Sinn Féin, an organization he also co-founded.
His cousin was George Moore.
He belonged to the ardent opponents of the British Empire and was a supporter of armed struggle with this country. He believed that the Irish deserve to be condemned to join the army there. Authoritative control (person): ve control (person):
