Laisvės alėja Avenue - an alley in Kaunas, in the center of Śródmieście, connecting the Old Town with the New Town, since 1983 the pedestrian zone.

It extends from the Kaunas Old Town (near the Zoological Museum and Main Post Office) to the church. St. Archangel Michael, who closes her perspective. It is one of Europe's longest pedestrianized streets. Limes are planted in the middle of the street. Most of the houses were built in the second half of the 19th century or at the beginning of the 20th century. Due to the status of the fortress owned by Kaunas in Russian times, the height of the buildings usually does not exceed two to three stories.
