Pier 39, San Francisco, California Californian Cheese at Pier 39 Pier 39 (Pier 39) is a shopping mall and popular tourist attraction built on the San Francisco Pier in the USA. The pier is located on the edge of Fisherman's Wharf and close to North Beach, Chinatown and Embarcadero. Pier 39 is easily accessible via the historic F Market tram line.
