Russell Boyd (born 21 April 1944 in Victoria) is an Australian film director. Oscar Winner.

He made his film debut in the mid-1970s. His international fame earned him a collaboration with Peter Weir. Boyd was the author of photography for Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), The Last Wave (1977), Gallipoli (1981), The Year of Dangerous Life (1982). In 2004, he won an Oscar for pictures of historical drama Lord and the Ruler: At the World End. He also worked with other Australian directors (eg at Crocodile Dundee) and Hollywood productions.
