Stroganow beef
Stroganow beef Boeuf Stroganov (name from bufuf - franc "beef" and the name of Russian general and official Aleksandr Grigorjevich Stroganov) - a popular dish in Poland called Strogonov - somewhat wrongly due to the original naming, but like in other countries of the world, Poland has adopted a name that functions in gastronomy. The name of the dish, which is a combination of the tradition of French cuisine (fried sirloin with sauce) and Russian (sauce is added to the dish, not separately), is to come from Count Alexander Grigorjewicz Stroganov, Russian general, minister and governor.
This is a sliced sirloin with long and narrow strips, fried with onions and mushrooms, according to some recipes also with pickled cucumbers and cooked with flour, tomato paste, pepper and salt.
