Arvid Wittenberg, author Arvid Wirtenberg von Debern (born 1606 in Porvoo, 7 September 1657 in Zamosc) - Swedish Count (1652) and Field Marshal (1655), participant in the Thirty Years War and Swedish Flood.

In the army of 1622, after the First Battle of Nördlingen in 1634 promoted to the colonel, captured, he was soon freed. He participated in the battles at Wittstock in 1636 and at Chemnitz in 1639 and promoted to general-major. Under the command of Lennart Torstenson he served the rest of the war until his resignation in 1645. Chief Commander of Swedish forces until the arrival of Charles Gustav Wrangel.

In 1655, Field Marshal Charles X Gustav was fielded in preparation for an attack on Poland, known as the Swedish Flood, on 21 July 1655 at the head of 14,000 troops and 72 guns. On July 25, after the Battle of Ujście, he accepted the capitulation of Wielkopolska. Cracow (19 October).
