He soon returned to Minsk, where he worked in the local magistrate for the February revolution. artistic director of the First Society of Drama and Comedy in Minsk. After the end of the Polish-Soviet War in 1920, he organized the Belarusian State Theater (now Kupala Theater) in Minsk, where he became the director. He took up work in the narcotic education of the Belarusian Ministry of National Defense, on whose behalf he managed the state theaters in the area of ​​the Belarusian SRR. On July 19, 1930, he was arrested by the NKVD as an alleged member of the Belarusian Liberation Union and soon sentenced to five years in prison - he was working on the construction of a canal. In 1937 he was arrested and shot again. In 1958 he was rehabilitated by the decision of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
